How we train
- One plan, built around you. Every student gets a training plan that fits their schedule, goals and budget, and we keep you posted on progress.
- Consistency over cramming. We'll help you fly regularly, the #1 factor in finishing quickly and affordably.
- Standards from day one. We train to the FAA Airman Certification Standards from your first lesson, so checkride prep is a polish, not a scramble.
- Safety culture. Thorough preflights, conservative weather decisions, and no pressure to fly when it isn't right.
Our instructors
Every lesson is taught by an FAA-certificated flight instructor. Meet our instructors →
John Smith
Chief Flight Instructor
- CFI
- CFII
- Commercial · Instrument
John learned to fly in New England and has been teaching ever since, with a focus on building confident, safety-minded pilots from the very first lesson.
As a CFII, John especially enjoys instrument training. New England's weather makes it a great classroom. Outside of lessons you'll find John flying the coastline from Plum Island to Cape Ann.

Our home: Lawrence Municipal Airport (KLWM)
Lawrence Municipal Airport sits in North Andover, right on the edge of Lawrence and a few miles from the New Hampshire line. It's a public-use airport with an air traffic control tower, which makes it an outstanding place to learn:
- Two runways: 5/23 (5,001 ft) and 14/32 (3,654 ft), giving options for different wind conditions and good crosswind practice.
- Class D airspace with a control tower, so you'll build real radio skills from the start.
- Field elevation 148 ft, a sea-level-like airport where airplanes perform well.
- Close to Boston airspace: learn to work with Boston Approach without training in the middle of it.
