What's included
The gift certificate covers a full discovery flight: a real flight lesson, not a sightseeing ride.
- A briefing with a certificated flight instructor on how the airplane flies.
- A preflight walkaround of the aircraft, just like every pilot does before every flight.
- 30–45 minutes in the air with the recipient at the controls for most of the flight. They'll see the Merrimack River, the local lakes and, on a clear day, the coast and the White Mountains.
- A logbook entry. The time counts toward a pilot license if they decide to keep going.
Gift certificates are also available for scenic flights, where our pilot flies and the recipient and up to two guests enjoy the view.
A gift for any occasion
- Birthdays and holidays: a memorable experience rather than another object.
- Graduations: for the student thinking about an aviation career, it's the best way to find out.
- Retirements and milestones: for anyone who has always wanted to fly.
- Father's Day and Mother's Day: for the aviation enthusiast in your family.
How it works
- Get in touch. Call us or send a message and let us know who it's for.
- Give the certificate. We'll get it to you ready to give.
- They schedule their flight. The recipient contacts us to pick a day and time that works for them.
Where they'll fly from
Flights depart from Lawrence Municipal Airport (KLWM) in North Andover, Massachusetts, just off I-495. That's about 25 miles north of Boston and a short drive from the North Shore, the Merrimack Valley and Southern New Hampshire.
